On July 6, 2026, the Township of Centre Wellington announced they are looking to continue improving the facilities of Belwood Hall, but they need extra funding from the community.
A fundraiser has been organized to add more improvements to the space; it has a goal of $200,000 with three milestones along the way, each representing a unique renovation.
At $160,000, Belwood Hall will receive new board-and-batten exterior finishes, at $190,000 the Township will add a lakeside patio and $200,000 will finish the job by adding a furnished outdoor gathering space.
The campaign aims to build upon recent improvements including the addition of air conditioning, a new sewage system and a complete interior renovation.
Mayor Shawn Watters said these fundraising goals will contribute to the future of Centre Wellington.
“With the support of our community, we can transform this beloved hall into an even more inviting place where people gather, celebrate and enjoy the incredible views of Belwood Lake,” Watters said in a press release.
The press release also said “the vision doesn’t stop there,” any additional funds will be used for further enhancements.
