WELLINGTON COUNTY – Ontario Provincial Police are renewing their appeal for information as they mark six years since the homicide of 25-year-old Ottawa resident Mohamed Amin Ismail.
Police say Ismail’s body was discovered on August 4, 2020, at approximately 7:15 p.m. along Watson Road North, just south of Wellington Road 124, north of Guelph.
The Wellington County OPP Crime Unit continues to investigate the case under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch. Investigators believe people in Wellington County, Kitchener-Waterloo and Ottawa may have information that could help determine what happened to Ismail.
In a news release, Detective Inspector Michael Moore says investigators remain committed to identifying those responsible and is urging anyone with information—no matter how small or seemingly unrelated—to come forward, saying even minor details could help advance the investigation and provide answers for Ismail’s family.
