ERIN – A portion of 8th Line will be closed beginning Monday, August 24, to allow for construction along the Elora Cataract Trailway.
The closure will affect 8th Line between Wellington Road 22 and just north of Sideroad 17. Crews will be installing watermains, sanitary sewers and culverts where the trail crosses 8th Line.
Drivers are asked to follow the posted detour, which will take motorists from Sideroad 17 to Wellington Road 23 and then onto Wellington Road 22.
Residents living within the closure area will continue to have access to their homes.
The work is expected to take approximately two weeks, with the roadway scheduled to reopen on September 4.
