NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – Police are investigating a break and enter at a pharmacy in Fergus and are appealing to the public for assistance.
On July 28, 2026, at approximately 3:30 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a break and enter that occurred approximately 10 minutes prior at a pharmacy on St. Andrew Street West in Fergus.
It was reported that an unknown suspect forcibly entered the business through the front door, concealed various narcotics and departed prior to police arrival.
The Wellington County OPP is investigating the incident and is looking to identify the suspect involved. Photos of the suspect is attached for reference.
The suspect is described as:
- Male
- Wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, brown khaki-style pants, black gloves, a black crossbody bag and Nike-branded shoes
- Carrying an umbrella
