NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) – A driver is facing charges following a collision near Mount Forest.
On September 01, 2026, at approximately 6:30 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), alongside local Emergency Medical Services and local Fire Services responded to the report of a collision involving a pickup truck and an Electric Bicycle on Wellington Road 6, just outside of Mount Forest, North of Sideroad 3.
The operator of the Electric Bicycle was transported to a local hospital with minor, non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old from Drayton, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Careless driving causing bodily harm
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Provincial Offences Court in Guelph at a later date.
