CENTRE WELLINGTON – Reliable Ford in Fergus is kicking off a local food drive today, with the goal of filling a Ford Transit van with food for the community.
The collection is part of Ford Motor Company’s World’s Largest Auto Dealer Food Drive, with Ford dealers around the world collecting donations to help increase food accessibility and support local food banks.
Last year, the campaign collected more than two million pounds of food. This year, the goal is to make an even bigger impact and help more than three million people around the world.
Here in Centre Wellington, all donations collected by Reliable Ford will stay local and be donated to the Centre Wellington Food Bank.
Residents are encouraged to bring in non-perishable food items, with staff on hand to help unload donations.
Reliable Ford will also be collecting donations at Zehrs in Fergus this Friday (Sept 11th).
