ELORA – A Waterloo driver is facing an impaired driving charge following a single-vehicle collision in Elora.
Wellington County OPP were called to Middlebrook Road around 3:45 pm Friday, September 11th, after a vehicle collided with a guard rail.
Paramedics also attended the scene.
OPP say the 36-year-old driver, of Waterloo, was not injured but was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
Following the investigation, the driver was charged with impaired operation by alcohol and drugs and was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in Guelph court in October.
Police are reminding drivers to call 911 if they suspect someone is driving while impaired.
