CENTRE WELLINGTON – A 16-year-old Puslinch male has died after being struck by a minivan in Centre Wellington.
The collision happened just after midnight Saturday, September 19, on Wellington Road 29, south of the Eramosa-Garafraxa Town Line.
Emergency services responded to the scene, where officials found a pedestrian who had been struck by a northbound minivan.
Wellington County OPP said quote “the pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased. The vehicle driver remained at the scene and was not injured.”
The OPP says the cause of the collision is still under investigation. Members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement, or TIME Team, attended the scene to assist.
Wellington Road 29 was closed for a period of time following the collision but has since reopened.

The OPP says the investigation remains ongoing.
