CENTRE WELLINGTON – Four Guelph residents have been charged after Wellington County OPP stopped a vehicle in Elora.
Police say the OPP Traffic Management Unit was conducting proactive patrols on Sunday afternoon at around 2:30 p.m. when officers initiated a traffic stop on Clyde Street.
As a result of the investigation, four people — a 60-year-old, 34-year-old, 67-year-old and 28-year-old, all from Guelph — were each charged under the Highway Traffic Act with failing to properly wear a seatbelt.
Police are reminding motorists that everyone in a vehicle should have and properly use a working seatbelt.
