GUELPH – Guelph police continue to investigate an armed robbery at a Guelph gas station after a man allegedly threatened an employee with a knife and fled with cash early on September 28.
“A man entered the store, approached the counter with a kitchen-style knife and demanded money. He took a small quantity of cash before leaving the store and running east across Silvercreek Parkway,” police said in a news release.
The employee was not injured, and no customers were inside the store at the time of the robbery.
The suspect is described as tall with a heavier build and glasses. He was reportedly wearing black clothing, including a hooded sweatshirt and face covering, along with a blue hat.
A Guelph Police Service canine unit searched the surrounding area but was unable to locate the suspect.
The investigation remains ongoing.
