PUSLINCH — Wellington County is inviting residents and road users to attend a public open house next month to learn more about proposed changes to Wellington Road 46, also known as Brock Road South, in Aberfoyle.
The open house is scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, and will focus on a road study examining the stretch of Wellington Road 46 between Wellington Road 34 and Gilmour Road.
The study was launched after Puslinch Township advocated for changes aimed at improving road safety and addressing concerns from local businesses.
The County has hired Dillon Consulting Limited to assess several options for the roadway, including keeping the existing four travel lanes, introducing traffic-calming measures, or reconfiguring the road to three travel lanes with on-street parking.
“The Wellington Road 46 corridor is an important route for residents, businesses and people travelling through Aberfoyle,” said Gregg Davidson, Roads Committee Chair.
“This study has allowed us to carefully consider different approaches to improving safety and managing traffic through the community. We encourage residents and road users to attend the Open House, learn more about the preferred solution and share their feedback with the project team.”
The public open house will give attendees an opportunity to review the study findings and proposed alternatives, ask questions, and provide feedback to the project team.
Open House Details:
- Date: Tuesday, November 3
- Time: 5 to 7:30 p.m.
- Location: Puslinch Community Centre, 23 Brock Road South, Puslinch
Residents who cannot attend in person will still be able to submit feedback directly to the project team. Digital copies of the open house display materials will also be posted on the County’s project webpage following the event.
