PUSLINCH – Four people are dead, and two others are being treated in hospital following a single-vehicle crash on Watson Road South in Puslinch Township.
Wellington County OPP say officers were called to the collision shortly after 1:35 Saturday morning. The crash happened on Watson Road South, just north of Wellington Road 34.
At a press conference Sunday morning in Rockwood, Detachment Commander Inspector Karen Medeiros confirmed six people were in the vehicle when it left the roadway, struck a guardrail, and entered the ravine.
Medeiros says four people tragically lost their lives, and two others were transported to hospital with serious injuries.
“The deceased include a 19-year-old male from Mississauga, a 19-year-old male from Brampton, a 17-year-old female from Mississauga, and a 15-year-old from Milton.”
Medeiros says the two surviving occupants, both from Mississauga, include “a 17-year-old female who remains in hospital with life-altering injuries, and a 16-year-old female who sustained non-life-threatening injuries.”
Medeiros says investigators continue to gather information and carefully assess all available evidence.
She says OPP recognize there is a significant public interest in this incident.
Police are asking nearby residents who may have surveillance camera footage near the time of the collision, or anyone with relevant information or dashcam footage, to contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
Police say updates will be provided as they become available.
