GUELPH – Guelph Police are asking for the public’s help to identify three males believed to have removed a stop sign at a Guelph intersection before a collision involving two vehicles.
Police say the eastbound stop sign at Cole Road and Scottsdale Drive was removed late Saturday night.
“At about 12:30 a.m., a driver went through the intersection without realizing a stop was required and collided with a southbound vehicle. Both vehicles were heavily damaged,” police said in a news release.
The stop sign was later found leaning against a nearby house and has since been reinstalled.
“Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area of Cole Road and Scottsdale Drive late Saturday evening and saw the sign being removed or saw the males involved.”
Anyone with dashcam or security camera footage from the area is also encouraged to review their recordings.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Guelph Police Service.
