FERGUS – Two people are facing theft charges following an incident at a Fergus business.
Wellington County OPP say officers were called to a business on St. David Street North around 1:30 p.m. on Monday after reports of a theft.
Police say two individuals had allegedly taken various items worth about $80.00 and left the store without paying.
Officers arrived and located both individuals outside the business.
As a result, two people from Guelph, aged 27 and 31, were each charged with theft under $5,000.
Both were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice later in January.
