WELLINGTON COUNTY – A trucking company located in Arthur will be touring around Centre Wellington Township and Wellington North to thank all essential workers.
Ivan Armstrong trucking is giving a rolling tribute to those workers on the front lines.
The Essential trailer was created by NAL Insurance with the support of numerous sponsorships from the transportation industry.
One of the sponsors is the Fleet Safety Council which held a draw for use of this trailer with their members. Ivan Armstrong Trucking, a longtime member of the Central Chapter of the Fleet Safety Council was one of the winners.
Since July 2020, the trailer has been used in numerous ways and locations across the province such as NAL Insurance’s “Thank a Trucker program” which goes towards feeding truck drivers at various events and equipping them with personal protective equipment.
The rolling tribute will be visiting locations in Fergus, Arthur, Mount Forest, and Palmerston, and others areas in the community.
The trailer visited Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus Wednesday morning. Wellington County OPP, Centre Wellington Fire Rescue, and Hospital staff took a picture in front of the trailer.
Ivan Armstrong Trucking plans to move the tribute to the Palmerston Hospital on Thursday and hope to be at the Mount Forest Fire Department on Friday.
