Today is the day many music enthusiasts have been waiting for.
Live performances are back at the Fergus Grand Theatre after 18 months of closed doors due to COVID-19.
The Red Dirt Skinners have the distinction of being the first performers and will play in front of a full house tonight.
The husband and wife duo who immigrated to Canada from the U.K., say the Fergus show is only their second live performance since COVID-19 restrictions were put in place.
The duo has been described by Roots Music Canada as “The Pink Floyd of Folk Music.”
Sarah Skinner says they hope people leave the show smiling and feeling positive.
The duo has just released a new album entitled “Your Butterfly.”
Health and Safety protocols will be in effect for all events at the theatre, and proof of vaccination will be required for admission.
