NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) – With the assistance of the Office of the Fire Marshal, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Major Crime Unit has concluded an investigation into a suspicious house fire in Mount Forest. As a result, Rodney John GRUBB, 45-years-old of Mount Forest, has been charged with Arson – Disregard for Human Life, Arson – Damage to Property, Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon, and Possession of a Weapon contrary to a Prohibition Order. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph.
On September 19, 2021, at approximately 5:15 p.m. Wellington North Fire Service, Guelph-Wellington Paramedics Service and OPP responded to a structure fire on North Water Street West in the Village of Mount Forest. One occupant was sent to hospital with minor injuries.
