FERGUS – The Township of Centre Wellington Water Services is completing a repair on Braeside Road in Fergus and will need to turn off watermains in the area.
The Township says in a Facebook post that the work is expected to create discoloured water in the area of South and South West Fergus.
If discoloured water is experienced, residents are urged to turn on a cold water tap nearest to their water meter and allow the water to flush slowly for several minutes until it runs clear.
If after 24 hours, the water still appears discoloured, contact Centre Wellington Infrastructure Services at (519) 846-9691 Option #2.
