There will be plenty of colour across the township of Centre Wellington this weekend.
The Elora Plein Air Festival is underway and lasts until Sunday. The outdoor painting event will go rain or shine. Seventy artists, including 11 from Centre Wellington will be making their creations. Some have come from as far away as Nova Scotia and Indiana.
Hundreds of paintings are expected to be created over the weekend, in competition for 3 thousand dollars in prices.
Plein Air Painting Demonstrations by Artist and Festival judge Sam Paonessa will be taking place at the Victoria
Street walking bridge in Elora both Friday and Saturday afternoons from 2:00 to 3:30 pm.
The Elora Plein Air Festival culminates in a Show and Sale at the Elora Centre for the Arts
on Sunday, May 22 from 2 pm to 5 pm. Over 200 paintings, completed during the previous
three days, will be on display and available for purchase, including the 12 prize winners.
