Guelph Police are appealing for more information after charging a long time volleyball official, who may have officiated games in the Wellington area…with a long list of charges.
63 year old Hughbee Brown is charged with 14 counts of sexual misconduct including seven counts of sexual assault.
Police began their investigation on May 11th, after a couple of teenage volunteers reported inappropriate behaviour at a volleyball tournament hosted at the University of Guelph. That investigation uncovered some other concerns, from a tournament held at the end of March.
Police say Brown, a resident of Dashwood, north of London has been officiating volleyball for more than 30 years. For some of those years he was working in District 10, which ecompasses Centre Wellington among other places. He was also a frequent official in the Kitchener Waterloo area. School Boards involved have been notified.
