**PRESS RELEASE – WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP**
On July 10, 2022, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a suspicious person complaint on Owen Road, Mount Forest. It was reported that two people appeared to be going through vehicles. OPP attended and located the parties.
As a result of the investigation, Karley Bianca SAMAN, 26-years-old of Wellington North, has been charged with Mischief, Trespass by Night, Possession of Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and Assault with a Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code and Possession of Schedule I – Opioid contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. Shayla Dawn COLBY, 34-years-old of Wellington North, has been charged with Mischief and Trespass by Night contrary to the Criminal Code. Both are scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph, at a later date.
On July 10, 2022, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Wellington County OPP responded to active bike theft occurring on Durham Street West, Mount Forest. Police attended and as a result Shayla Dawn COLBY, 34-years-old of Wellington North, has been charged with Theft under $5,000 contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph, at a later date.
