PUSLINCH – Multiple fire stations responded to a fire at the Old Marina Restaurant on Puslinch Lake Saturday afternoon.
In an email to The Grand at 101, Puslinch Fire Chief Tom Mulvey said Cambridge Fire received the call at 12:48pm. “It is an agreement area where Cambridge is first in and Puslinch takes over after an hour.”
He said “crews from Cambridge, Puslinch, Guelph, Guelph/Eramosa, North Dumfries and Maryhill attended.”
At around 3:45 p.m., Wellington County OPP tweeted that Lake Road was closed between Wellington Road 32 and Townline Road for the fire.

Chief Mulvey said the “Fire started in the basement. No idea of cause as fire is still under investigation and it is not suspicious.”
He says “Puslinch crews remain on scene extinguishing hot spots and the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office has been notified.”

The investigation is ongoing.
No injuries have been reported.
