NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPPĀ
(TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH/ERAMOSA, ON) – On September 20, 2022, at approximately 8:45 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious collision at the intersection of Highway 6 and Wellington Road 38, north of Guelph. Initial reports indicated that a motorcycle and a sedan had collided and that there were serious injuries.
The operator of the motorcycle, a 47-year-old from Fergus, was pronounced deceased at scene. The operator of the sedan was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The road was closed for Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team reconstructionists. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
