Waterloo Region, Ontario – Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Major Crime Unit have arrested a male in connection to a homicide that occurred in Kitchener.
On November 15, 2022, just after 10 p.m., police responded to a residence in the area of Cayley Court after receiving reports of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, police located three female victims with injuries. They were transported to hospital where a 41-year-old female was pronounced deceased. The two other victims, aged 51 and seven, remain in hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have arrested and charged a 30-year-old Kitchener male with First Degree Murder and two counts of Attempted Murder.
The male was held in police custody for a bail hearing, which will take place on November 16, 2022.
Investigators believe the suspect and victims are known to each other and there is no concern for public safety. There will continue to be an increased police presence in the area as police conduct a canvass as part of the ongoing investigation.
