CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Township of Centre Wellington held it’s inaugural meeting for the newly elected council Monday evening.
The special ceremony saw a new council and new Mayor sworn into office.

All six wards are represented by a new councillor.
Councillor Ward 1: Lisa MacDonald
Councillor Ward 2: Kimberly Jefferson
Councillor Ward 3: Barbara Lustgarten-Evoy
Councillor Ward 4: Jennifer Adam’s
Councillor Ward 5: Bronwynne Wilton
Councillor Ward 6: Dennis Craddock
Mayor Shawn Watters gave his inaugural address and said they have some challenges as they move forward.
Watters says they must also develop a parking strategy for the downtown areas, a short term rental strategy, climate and adaptation strategy all while building an inclusive community and an accountable and respectful council.
He says working together will be a key to success and also asked for patience.
