A small school in Rockwood of just 284 students took a big leap in raising the most money in the country for Jump Rope for Heart.
A promise of a pie in the face to staff members may have urged the first $1,000 raised, but Harris Mill Public School had loftier goals in mind.
$11,785 ended up being their grand total, and Kailey Sargeant, a teacher and member of the Jump Rope committee at the school, said they raised the first thousand dollars within 24 hours.
Sargeant went on to say that the rapid success was shocking, but exciting.
Clearly, the sky was the limit.
