With the tax deadline approaching, many Ontarians may have questions about how to get their returns filed.
Fred Morris, President of Vision Financial Services in Fergus, warns the fines for failing to file, or filing late, can be heavy.
He says anyone over the age of 18 who has earned income has to file, whether it be employment, rental, or business income.
Morris says there is plenty of help available to those who still need to file their taxes.
The deadline to file taxes is April 30. Since the date falls on a Sunday, your return will be considered filed on time if the Canada Revenue Agency receives it, or it is postmarked, on or before May 1, 2023.
