GUELPH – The Upper Grand District School Board has announced the hiring of Peggy Blair, who will join the UGDSB Executive Committee as a
Superintendent of Education.
The board says Peggy brings with her decades of experience in public education.
She currently serves as a Supervisory Officer at the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) with responsibility for Specialized Services, including Special Education, Behaviour Analytics, Autism & Neurodevelopmental, Psychological Services, and Speech & Language.
Blair also serves as the Chair of the Minister’s Advisory Council on Special Education.
She will begin the role on September 1, 2023, filling a vacancy soon to be left by the retirement of Superintendent of Education Carlo Zen,
who will be retiring at the end of the year.
