At today’s Wellington County Council meeting, County council adopted The Wellington County Strategic Action Plan.
Per a media release, The plan, Proudly Moving Forward Together, is a product and true reflection of how the County works – in an environment that promotes openness, trust and collaboration.
The plan highlighted four priority sectors:
- 1. Continue working to ensure all County residents have a safe place they can call home.
- 2. In those communities poised to grow, help manage community expectations.
- 3. Ensure long-term financial sustainability to allow for the continued delivery of the highest
quality service. - 4. Focus on People as the main driving force behind Wellington County.
Meanwhile, the results of the 2023 Wellington County Citizen Satisfaction Survey were presented.
Per the results:
The quality of life that the County of Wellington has to offer is a major highlight for residents.
The overall level of satisfaction with the services provided is high. Residents are optimistic about the County’s future and most think it is possible to achieve a balance between growth and quality of life. Effective communication can play a vital role through this process.
Lastly, residents of the County of the county expressed widespread familiarity with Council and gave high approval rates.
