FERGUS – The Fergus Scottish Festival has announced that Canadian actor Charles Vandervaart will be another featured guest at this year’s festival.
He will be appearing in addition to Scottish actor Richard Rankin.
Vandervaart has played William Ransom in the hit TV series Outlander.
According to a press release, the Festival says Vandervaart, born in Toronto, is the most local Featured Guest the Festival has hosted in recent years.
“It is a very special opportunity to have not one but two incredible actors join us at the Festival this year,” says Executive Director Elizabeth Bender. “We love that Richard is making the trip from Scotland, and now with Charles, a Canadian actor and rising star on the world stage, 2023 just became that much more exciting. We couldn’t be happier.” Bender added.
The Festival is presenting opportunities to meet Vandervaart including a VIP autograph/photo session, brunch, and several free panel discussions where he will join Rankin on stage answering questions from the audience. In addition to these ticketed events, he will also be participating in activities through the Festival grounds.
Tickets for scheduled featured guest events with Charles Vandervaart will go on sale tomorrow Friday, August 4th at 10 AM.
The Festival is also set to host the World Heavy Event Championships, Glass Tiger, a variety of engaging competitions and performances and so much more.
The Scottish Festival runs August 11-13th. For more information about the Festival and to get Featured Guest and admission tickets, visit www.fergusscottishfestival.com.
