ERIN – Erin council will be finalizing a wastewater contract for service today with Credit Valley Conservation. (CVC)
The proposed agreement with CVC is worth approximately $651,000 plus a 20% contingency of $130,000 excluding HST.
According to a report, the proposal submitted includes the monitoring costs over the next five years with the year one cost including the manufacturing of the monitoring stations to be placed within the watercourse.
Year one, 2023 will be the highest dollar value year, with $240,367 to CVC.
The next highest year is year five, 2027, with a cost of nearly $106,000.
The report also states it is anticipated that the first two years of monitoring costs will be allocated to the WRRF project costs which are being paid by developers through the front-ending agreements.
Once the WRRF is operational, the remaining monitoring costs will be part of the operating expenditures which will be passed onto the users of the wastewater system through wastewater usage fees.
The meeting begins at 3 p.m. in Erin today.
