ARTHUR – An 18-year-old ambassador of the Arthur Fall Fair recently made her mark at the CNE Ambassador of the Fairs Competition in Toronto.
Out of nearly 50 competitors, Arthur’s Kelsey Lennox placed on the top-seven podium at the event in Ontario’s capital the weekend of August 20th.
The weekend saw competitors graded on a five-minute interview with judges, as well as an “elevator pitch” and a one minute speech.
Lennox explained her speech focused on the many reasons fairs like Arthur’s are a blessing for their respective communities.
Lennox added she has nothing but pride for her hometown.
Lennox said her favourite part of the event was the people, stating it was a very positive weekend.
She added it was a perfect cherry on top for her summer, as she prepares to head off to the University of Ottawa this fall.
