WELLINGTON COUNTY – Wellington County could be seeing step one towards a new pavilion at Wellington Place Campus.
The design for the proposed pavilion will be in front of the Information, Heritage and Seniors’ Committee at a meeting Wednesday afternoon.
While it would still require ratification by County council at a later date, according to the report the design from +VG Architecture would see a circular plaza, a curved pathway connecting the Indigenous Gathering Circle cardinal line leading to the wall opening of the pavilion.
The report says the pavilion can be used for business awards events, festivals, children’s music events, WCMA Programming, seniors’ activities” and more.
It also states “a well-constructed pavilion provides shelter from the elements during Indigenous Craft Fairs hosted in the Indigenous Gathering Circle.”
The committee meeting starts at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Wellington Terrace Board Room.
