WELLINGTON COUNTY – Organizers say you can expect to see a wide range of culturally diverse events and performances at the first Wellington County Multicultural Festival.
The event is happening at the Wellington County Museum and Archives on September 23rd, where 500-600 people can be accommodated outdoors.
Anuradha Dam, Talent Correction and Newcomer Support Coordinator, says she’s hopeful for a good turnout at a festival featuring aspects of what she calls “an ever-changing demography” locally.
She says the grounds for the event are a fitting demonstration of several points in time for the area’s cultural history.
She added hopes are set high for an event making its debut at a significant venue.
Dam says a Ukranian song and dance has just been added to go along with a Line Dance of South China, Indian and Syrian traditional dances.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
