GUELPH – One person was injured and another charged following a three-vehicle collision in Guelph Monday afternoon.
In a post to X (formerly Twitter) at around 5pm, Guelph Police advised of a road closure at the intersection of Speedvale Avenue West and Imperial Road North.
In an update Police said a rear-end type collision occurred involving three vehicles travelling East Bound on Speedvale.
“The MVC caused two of the vehicles to become engulfed in flames,” police said.
As a result one driver sustained minor injuries and was treated on scene.
One driver was also charged with Careless Driving.
The intersection of Speedvale Avenue West and Imperial Road North has since reopened.
