Area school boards passed their report cards in flying colours after seeing above average EQAO results. The Upper Grand District School Board was above provincial average in four categories.

In a media release, UGDSB stated results prove there is a need to focus on math and literacy in the early years. Grade three reading, writing and math were three of the four categories to score below average.
They said it is their plan to continuously learn, evaluate and improve.
Meanwhile, the Wellington Catholic District School Board exceeded the cross-Ontario rates in every assessment.

Wellington Catholic DSB praised their staff for their efforts in supporting both student achievement and wellbeing.
The board says they will now use the assessment data to inform and guide school improvement plans for student achievement.
