MINTO – Wellington County OPP have charged two people with the kidnapping and homicide of a Kitchener man.
In March of 2019, 43-year-old Jason Brown was last seen near the Harriston Cemetery in Minto Township.
Brown’s body was found in the Oshawa area of Durham Region.
On November 8, 2023, the OPP, with the assistance of the Edmonton Police Service, arrested 32-year-old Joshua Alexander Drumond, of Edmonton, on a Canada-wide warrant. Drumond has been charged with Kidnapping and First Degree Murder.
33-year-old Steven Jon Walsom-Gerigs, of Brantford, is also charged with Kidnapping and First Degree Murder.
OPP say both individuals are currently in custody and will appear at the Ontario Superior Court in Guelph on November 10th.
The Wellington County OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, and with the assistance of the Biker Enforcement Unit, continues to investigate Brown’s death.
