WELLINGTON COUNTY – The Guelph-Wellington Community Health Van will remain in service in Wellington County through next winter.
County staff will be putting over $90,000 towards the van that David Anderson, chair of the social services committee says is a valuable asset to the county.
Anderson says a variety of medical staff are able to help many throughout the county on board the van.
Anderson explained the dollar amount is substantial enough to keep the van moving for around a year, including federal funding that will soon run out for the van’s operation in the city of Guelph.
He reiterated the importance of the van to the community, stating it “meets the needs” of the area.
