Construction in Erin will be taking some time off for the holidays, too.
The town took to X today to notify residents of the break in construction beginning three days before Christmas day:
Hillsburgh construction will take a Holiday break

Access to businesses will remain open, as well as the east and west sidewalks.
Snow maintenance will continue on the road despite the pause. The project was delayed into the new year due to milder weather.
From December 22, local traffic will be detoured to use Mill, Anne and Church streets, and the construction laydown area will be within the roadway only.
Trafalgar Road will be accessible from the trail to Mill Street, but will remain closed to truck and through-traffic, and one lane will be open in the evenings and overnight.
Stay tuned for updates from the Town of Erin as construction continues in the new year. Work is set to be completed by March 2024.
