GUELPH/ERAMOSA – Guelph/Eramosa township approved a zoning amendment to permit a new kind of event venue space in the township.
Despite a delegation at a council meeting on Monday from resident Ward Pangborn, council voted in favour to permit a barn-converted event space along Wellington Road 44.
At 5028 Wellington Road 44, the venue space will be on subject lands that occupy approximately 198 acres of land. Surrounding land uses include agricultural and residential among other uses.
The seasonal venue will run up to three events a week.
It will be able to permit up to 75 people.

Pangborn presented issues with trails being cut by logging too close in proximity to his house.
A consultant responded to the resident’s comments and reassured council and Pangborn trails that will exist are intended for passive recreational use.
