ELORA – Closed since March for renovations, the Jefferson Elora Community Centre welcomed residents for a grand reopening Friday afternoon.
The upgrades, that were on full display to those in attendance of the event, were extensive.
Township manager of facilities Matt Tucker says visitors to the facility will have a lot of new features to check out.
Pat Newson, on hand with Tucker and other township staff at the re-opening, thanked funding partners for their support along the journey to bringing back a third ice pad to the community, something Tucker says has residents “ecstatic.”

Newson, the township’s managing director of community services, says there’s more to come for the building this year.
A Parks and Recreation Master plan update will be launched this year, to allow township staff to assess what’s next in the decades to come.
