NEWS RELEASE TOWN OF ERIN
A new stewardship agreement between the Town of Erin and the Erin Tennis Club adopted at the Dec. 14 regular council meeting defines areas where the two parties can work together to provide high-quality service to residents. The agreement outlines several management areas where the Town and Club will collaborate, including: maintenance, event promotion, public access, and insurance.
Highlights of the stewardship agreement include:
- Both parties agree to share the long-term maintenance costs of the court colour
coating surface, asphalt surface, subsurface, tennis posts and lighting via a costsharing agreement; - Under the shared costs agreement, expenses under $9,999 exclusive of tax will be
paid 100 per cent by the club, while costs of $10,000 and above exclusive of tax, the
cost will be shared 40 per cent by the Tennis Club and 60 per cent by the Town; - The Town will continue to provide public information concerning the Tennis Club
facilities on the Town’s website, while the club will set aside court time for public
access
