CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Township of Centre Wellington has received a third quarter payment from the OLG.
Totaling $709, 701, the township has now received $2,301,309 during OLG’s fiscal year.
They’ve gathered more than $41 million since the site opened in December of 2003.
The dollars are, according to a news release, “based on a formula consistently applied across all gaming sites in Ontario using a graduated scale of gaming revenue at the hosted site.”
Centre Wellington receives the funds in return for the operation of the Elements Casino Grand River.
So far, during OLG’s fiscal year, 29 communities have received $117,969,393.
Since 1994, these host communities have received more than $2 billion in non-tax gaming revenue.
