CENTRE WELLINGTON – Centre Wellington Township is set to celebrate 25 years.
A report to be presented to council on Monday will lay out plans to celebrate the milestone.
The township was formed in 1999 with the amalgamation of the Town of Fergus, Village of Elora and the Townships of Nichol, Pilkington, West Garafraxa and a portion of Eramosa.
Staff have created a 25th Anniversary logo that will be featured on various documents, the website, employee e-signatures and social media posts throughout the year, to celebrate 25 years of amalgamation in 2024.
“We will recognize this anniversary at certain events (Mayor’s Town Hall, Key Township meetings, etc.) and offer a page on Connect CW where residents can “connect” and share their memories,” said a report prepared by Kendra Martin, Manager of Strategic Initiatives and Communications.
Each month the township will celebrate this milestone through a social media post.
The report will be presented for information at Monday’s council meeting.
