WELLINGTON COUNTY – At Friday’s Western Ontario Warden’s Caucus Annual General meeting, Wellington County Warden Andy Lennox was elected vice chair.
The WOWC is a not-for-profit organization representing 15 upper and single tier municipalities in approximately 300 communities.
It is a united front in Ontario representing over 20 per cent of the population.
Current priorities for the caucus include affordable and attainable housing, workforce development and mental health among others.
“I’m honoured to have been elected Vice-Chair of the Western Ontario Warden’s Caucus,” said Lennox. “I look forward to continuing the WOWC’s important work for Wellington County and Ontario.”
The WOWC also advocates to the Government of Ontario and Government of Canada on behalf of
the member counties on key issues, such as:
- Infrastructure
- Transportation
- Long Term Care
- Broadband
- Economic Development
