CENTRE WELLINGTON – Both local hockey teams are headed to the playoffs! The Fergus Whalers already played their debut playoff game Tuesday night, taking a 3-2 win over the Walkerton Capitals.
Leading 1-0 in the series, the Whalers can now set their sights on Game 2, March 1st at 7:30 p.m. on the road.
The series returns to the Centre Wellington Sportsplex on March 3rd at 3 p.m. Game 4 will be March 6th at 8 p.m. The remaining games, if necessary, will take place in back-to-back-to-back fashion.

In a best-of-five clash, the Elora Rocks will take on the Stratford Fighting Irish.
Elora will get rockin’ Friday at home. Puck drop is set for 8:30 p.m.
The next two games will be afternoon affairs, both in Stratford at 3:45 p.m. March 2nd and 9th.
If necessary, contests four and five will be played March 10th and 13th, one in each team’s home building.
