CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Fergus Whalers are one win away from securing their first playoff series win in the PJHL.
On Friday night the Whalers were in Walkerton for Game 2 of the best-of-seven against the Capitals.
Fergus came out on top with a 5-2 win.
The Whalers were back home yesterday for Game 3 against the Capitals, getting a 6-2 win.
Fergus now has a 3-0 lead in the series and could take it all in Game 4 which is this Wednesday night in Walkerton at 8pm.
Meanwhile, the Elora Rocks kicked off their playoff run this weekend.
On Friday night, the Rocks were home, when they took on the Stratford Fighting Irish in Game 1 of the series.
It was a close game, but Stratford took the win in Overtime 6-5.
The series moved to Stratford on Saturday for Game 2, the Fighting Irish got the win 7-3 over the Rocks.
Stratford now has a 2-0 lead in the series, with Game 3 set for this Saturday in Stratford.
