FERGUS – Centre Wellington District High School got a big win Tuesday.
The Falcons girls hockey team scored the CWOSSA Girls AAA Hockey Championship in Kitchener.
The two day tournament saw schools compete for the title.
Centre Wellington got a 3-0 win over Elmira in the final to secure the championship.
Jenni Kumagai one of the coaches told The Grand at 101 “We are so proud of these girls for accomplishing this incredible win!!! They battled hard and came away CWOSSA champs!!!!”.
Last week, the team also won their fourth consecutive District 10 high school girls hockey Championship, advancing them to the CWOSSA AAA tournament.
