ERIN – A delegation representing 42 residents on Pine Ridge Road in Erin hopes to see some changes made to the road.
Martha Hirst says in her delegation to be made at Erin council Thursday 90 per cent of the road’s residents were in support of the requests.
The residents would like to see a stop sign placed on 10th line at one or both entrances to Pine Ridge Road and a yield sign south of the single lane bridge, intended for northbound traffic.
They say these actions would These “force traffic to slow down and for Pine Ridge residents, provide safer access to the community mailbox located on the east side and a safer walk for the residents, young and old alike.”
The delegation letter goes on to ask council about plans for the road amid new developments.
Hirst asks whether council would consider widening the road to add a bike lane, or implementing a crosswalk where Eramosa trail meets the roadway.
The meeting will get underway at 3 p.m. on Thursday.
