MAPLETON – Mapleton could soon see a streaming service for sports and live events at PMD Arena.
A report from the township’s recreation manager details the benefits of the organization LiveBarn, and recommends staff enter into an agreement with them.
Parents of local athletes could live stream games, watch on demand, and even be able to bring in player analysis and analytics.
The report explains Mapleton Recreation met with LiveBarn earlier in the year to discuss the possibility of bringing their services to the arena.
LiveBarn, according to the report supply their own internet and equipment to cover on-floor events, hockey, figure skating and more.
Council will have the opportunity to give the go-ahead at a meeting tonight at 7 p.m.
